Survey 1 can be found below.
Survey #2
I received a total of 691 questionnaires, and 350 offers to participate in the interviews. I am very grateful for the generocity and participation of each practitioner.
Article #1:
The first results article was published in BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
I am only publishing in open-access journals, which will allow every interested person, and every participant in my research work access the results. Please enjoy, and send others to the article if you find it interesting.
This article presents the critical survey results, the four main interview themes, and wraps the two together.

Article #2:
The second results article, currently revisions stage, is focused specifically on the process of practice, the effects of training and experience, and what that might mean for research of real-life practice.
Survey #1
The results from the first survey are now available as this pdf download. (just click, or right-click)
The pdf is based on a poster presented at the Canadian Society of Epidemiology & Biostatistics conference. The results were also presented at the annual IN-CAM symposium (Canadian Interdisciplinary Network of CAM Researchers).
A couple of comments to consider when looking at the results:
- There was a 12% return rate (low). Was it those people interested in research who responded?
- The majority of surveys were sent out rather late. What was the impact on decisions to respond?
- I had to shut the websurvey down after a one-week extension. Mail surveys continued to arrive for two months. That may account for some of the differences between the two methods.
