Survey 1

This survey was done in the Calgary Health Region, focusing on practitioners in Calgary, Canmore, Kananaskis, Banff, and Lake Louise.

The purpose with this first survey was to learn about where CAM manual therapy practitioners hear about or gain information relevant to their community, and whether practitioners share such information or encourage participation in projects relevant to their community. Thus, the questions on this one-page survey focused on:

  • urban or rural practice settings
  • preference for mail-in or on-line surveys
  • routes for hearing about or seeing advertising for surveys and research

The results of this survey were used to effectively contact CAM manual therapy practitioners for the Alberta-wide survey, which focused on the actual practices of practitioners.
